Women Asylum Seekers Together are a collective of women who have experienced or are currently experiencing the asylum system in the UK. They are women who have fled their home countries because of their ethnicity, their religion, their political activity, their sexuality or because of gender violence.

Paris Lees is a London based trans rights activist who specialises in improving the representation of trans people in the media as projects manager at Trans Media Watch and editor of META magazine.
Kate Smurthwaite
The conference will be chaired by Kate Smurthwaite - an outspoken feminist comedian who appears regularly on the BBC.
